While Betsy was visiting last Thursday and Friday, she helped me paint some furniture. I recently picked up a Danish-modern style hutch at Second Season in Sioux City. (I love that store! So far, I have bought two hutches, two couches, one chair, two end tables and a coffee table there!) At first, the plan was to paint the hutch cream, but then Betsy and my mom both suggested crackle painting! Voila! Well, actually it's a lot of work but it was fun and we learned a lot. And, I discovered the joy of discount paint. I bought both cans of paint for less than $5! Originally, the little quarts were $10-14. We also painted some chairs for our patio, but that just involved spray painting them black. It was a very productive two days and I appreciated all of her paint expertise!
