When Graham was born and we actually got into a routine....about three months down the road...we started to read to him every night before bedtime.
I made sure we always read him a bedtime story, but I never thought to read to him during the day. Then one day during the summer I stopped home for lunch to find Matthew reading to Graham in the middle of the day! What a novel idea!
Since then we read books all the time. One of Graham's new favorite activities is to sit at the little table in his bedroom and read his books. Sometimes the books are upside down, and sometimes he just likes the books that make noise, but I am just happy he likes books. (My Mom, a retired librarian, is especially happy.)
