A Kid-Free Weekend

We celebrated Thanksgiving then the next day Matthew and I packed up the kiddos, dropped them at Nana and Poppa's house and hit the road for Lincoln! Matthew and Matt were going to the Iowa-Nebraska Football game so we got into town in time for some Runza then Nellie and I dropped the men off at the game. We wished them luck staying warm! It was 32 degrees and cooooold! Then we headed out to shop and get hot coffee.

We both found deals at HomeGoods and Trader Joes. Nellie thank you for introducing us to Cat Cookies for People! They are addicting! And, I fulfilled my addiction to spray on tans--$5! What a deal! Then we waited around in Nellie's warm house until the guys called for us to pick them up. We went to dinner at Honest Abe's--delicious! Then headed home to warm up some more!

This is how happy the guys were after freezing their feet all day.

The next day Nellie and I tried out a new place in Lincoln called Blown Blow Dry Bar. They had a great deal on Facebook and we both did not want to do our own hair. Then we headed to Bison and Witches for lunch with Steph, Betsy and Jennifer! I have not seen those ladies since January--minus the weddings and showers.

Then Nellie and I were so tired we napped while the Matts watched more football. Seriously do men ever tire of football?!

After naps we headed to dinner at LeadBelly-yum! Matthew and I split the Full Leaded Burger. It was a cinnamon roll with queso, chili, jalapenos, sour cream, chips, tomatoes/onions and a burger!

We went to another bar for drinks then fro-yo before heading home to watch "Horrible Bosses 2" and then Sunday it was up early to get home to rescue my parents so they could take naps. Thanks Nellie and Matt for hosting us! Thanks Mom and Dad for babysitting!

FYI to David: Dad said next year the boys will be old enough to stay at our house. Get ready!
