They tell me it's summertime, but the cool temps and the daily rain forecast have made it seem like summer is not quite here. I know my flowers are doing great, but my veggies need a few hot days to get things growing! We have over 20 pepper plants plus 6 tomato plants and one cucumber and zuchini plant.
In the meantime, here are some fun summer photos that remind me of 2008. It was a busy summer with a new house, new job, new dog, and trip to CT!

The first day I brought Bows home. Betsy, Alex and Jennifer came up from Omaha for a cookout.

Our home! It had huge, ugly bushes that obscured one window. Thankfully, those are gone and in its place is a neat flowerbed and windowbox.

Bows and her cousin Libby went on their first visit to the Omaha Farmer's Market. We went down to visit Emily after her gallbladder surgery.

I planted my very own cherry tomato plant and I harvested about 30 nice juicy tomatoes! Let's hope we get a few more with our 6 plants this year.
