My Daily Routine

What is your daily routine? Do you keep things absolutely the same or do you try something new every day? I am a creature of habit...I like things done my way...but lately I have been trying to change up my routine to make life more exciting. Here is a peek into my day:

6:00 a.m. Bows wakes me up by either jumping against the bed or whining until I notice her making noise. I take Bows outside, go potty myself and head back to bed with the dog.

6:50 a.m. Alarm goes off, I hit snooze.

6:55 a.m. Alarm goes off again, I hit snooze again.

7:00 a.m. Alarm goes off and I get up.

7:05 a.m. Turn on coffee maker for Matthew (unless it's a school day and he's already eaten breakfast, drank coffee waaaaaaaaay before I get up). Also, must feed Bows right away or she might starve.

7:10 a.m. Wash face, put on makeup, look at hair and think of what to do.

7:20 a.m. Cook oatmeal while Bows barks at me to feed her more food. My new favorite way to make oatmeal is cook 1/2 c. quick oats with 1/2 cup skim milk and 1 t. pumpkin pie spice in the microwave for 1 1/2 minutes. Then I add more skim milk, some chocolate chips, 1 T. peanut butter, dates, cranberries and stir together. It's delicious and actually fills me up until lunchtime! I always save Bows a few bites of oatmeal...after I eat the chocolate, of course.

7:35 a.m. Get dressed, do hair, walk Bows quick and leave for work.

8-ish a.m. Arrive at work, try to wake up, check work e-mail and chat with co-workers.

9 a.m. Woken up, time to work!

noon-ish Time for lunch! I either go home to take a walk or run errands or go to lunch with someone.

4:30 p.m. Time to go home!
4:31 p.m. Cursing bad Sioux City drivers. Grrr!

4:40 p.m. Arrive home, take Bows outside, change clothes and either go for a run, walk or do chores. I hate to just go home and sit, since I have been sitting all day. I sometimes work in my garden, mow the yard or just go outside, too.

5:30 p.m. Leave for exercise class if it's a M-T-Th.

6:45 p.m. Arrive home from exercise class to either cook dinner or eat dinner that Matthew has cooked.

7:00 p.m. Get ready to watch favorite TV shows. Play with Bows...unless she's already in bed. (She needs lots of beauty sleep.)

8:00 p.m. Eat dessert, take shower, fold laundry.

9:00 p.m. Make lunches for next day, set up coffee maker, let Bows outside. Start reading.

10:00 p.m. If I am still awake I catch the local news/weather, then head to bed.
