3,655 miles later

Provo Canyon, Utah....I loved Utah! I want to move there.
Iona's house. I love the rose tree in front.

The Colorado Rockies

Tammy riding on the trolley at the Grove.

Matt climbed up a big hill in eastern Utah. I watched in case there were any rattle snakes.

But I did venture a little into nature. :-)

We went to the Grove/Farmer's Market in Hollywood with Great Aunt Iona, Tammy and Linda. Here is the 100 foot tall Christmas tree in the Grove.

Matthew and I spent one night in Las Vegas and pretty much just walked all over the strip.

We are home after a great trip to sunny California! Matthew and I headed out 11 days ago for an adventure cross-country to visit my Great Aunt Iona and tons of cousins. Back in 1952, my Great Grandparents Sid and Eleanor moved to California, because there were few jobs in Iowa. They bought a house in North Hollywood, CA, but both of them and my two great aunts and their families have kept in contact through all these years. The best part is that I have 8 cousins in my age group out there and it's so fun to get together!
On our way out we drove through Iowa-Nebraska-Colorado-Utah-Arizona-Nevada-California. We stopped in North Platte, Neb. the first night before venturing onto Green River, Utah the second night, Las Vegas the third night and finally getting to our destination. Then on the way home we went California-Nevada-Arizona-Utah-Wyoming-Nebraska-Iowa. Unfortunately, we hit some major fog and ice coming home, so we stopped after seeing six cars in the ditch. So we stayed in Provo, Utah (I so want to go back to visit that town or even move there), and North Platte, Neb.
I am already thinking about places we want to go to next!
