I love reading Day in the Life posts, so I thought I'd share our "typical" day. It is just oh so exciting over here! Things are getting a bit easier with both boys a bit older, but depends on their attitudes for the day. We try to say "It's going to be a good day" each morning to set them up with a positive attitude.
6:45 a.m. -- My alarm goes off and I hit snooze. I usually get up by 7:30 a.m.
7:30 a.m. -- Wake up the boys and we head downstairs. Sometimes they get to watch PBS kids for one show.
8:00 a.m. -- I make breakfast, usually eggs and toast for the boys, then we all eat together. If Matthew's home I brew a big pot of coffee for us to share.
8:30 a.m. -- Boys are playing, I clean up breakfast and get dressed. Get boys dressed and if it's a school day for Graham we head out with lots of whining, yelling, the usual banter.
9:00 a.m. -- Arrive at school, unload Graham then Behrend and I head out to shop, play, go to coffee, etc.
11:30 a.m. -- Pick up Graham from school then go out to lunch or go home for lunch.
12:30 p.m. -- Boys play inside or outside and I clean up lunch, check Facebook, texts, etc.
1:30 p.m. -- Quiet/nap time. Graham gets books to read, a few toys to play with while Behrend will still nap once in a while. We always read books before they go down, too. I run around like a mad woman to work out, wash dishes, eat a snack by myself. Woohoo!
3:00 p.m. -- Wake up Behrend, get Graham and make a snack. (Do you notice how often they eat? Ay yi yi!) Then the boys play more and I will sometimes read a book or we go for a walk. If Matthew's on nights we can wake him up anytime after 3 p.m. and the boys love to go jump on Dad!
5:00 p.m. -- We eat dinner as a family (more like 4:30 if Matthew's on night shift) then we clean up and play some more.
6:30 p.m. -- Bath time! (Sometimes they get to watch a movie we rent from the library.) Get the boys' pjs on and pick out books.
7:00 p.m. -- Read books...boys try to see how many I will read. Depends how nice I feel-ha! Then lights out by 7:30 p.m. usually.
7:30 p.m. -- You can usually find me in the kitchen washing dishes from our many meals and watching Netflix. Then we either watch a show or read then to bed by 10 p.m.
