Today is Mother's Day! Yay! But, let me tell you about my race to get EVERYTHING done yesterday so I would not be doing chores all day on Mother's Day. Phew! I am tired just remembering.
I woke up at 7 a.m., get the kids up and fed. They were outside by 8 a.m. to dig in the dirt with their tiny diggers, so I decided to do the dishes, prep dinners, put in some laundry, get dressed, take the boys to the Farmer's Market (always fun but exhausting), come home to mow the entire yard, water the garden, make lunch, feed the boys, do more dishes, bake banana bread and make mini meatloaves for friend whose not feeling well, entertain children, make homemade chicken tenders for our dinner, feed children, bathe children, scrub both bathroom floors and counters, dress boys in pjs, make Matt's lunch for work and prep his plate for dinner, talk to Matthew, read books to boys, tuck them in, go run 4.28 miles (uphill mostly!), take a bath, visit with Matthew, read a book, THEN go to bed.
And, on that note today I decided the boys and I were going to Perkins for breakfast before visiting said friend to drop off food, then we went to LeMars with Uncle David to a park then to Bob's for hot dogs and home for (que the angels "QUIET TIME!"). So Happy Mother's Day to all my mama friends!
