It's a bit early for my flowers to be blooming, but they sure are pretty!

Last weekend's project involved bringing in a ton of dirt and sloping it away from the houses foundation. Now we have to put our pretty trellis up.

I bought a new rose bush that is supposed to have 35 large red blooms.

This is how much Bows likes getting her photo taken that she skulks away from me!

Grilling out....a few moments later Bows was trying to lick the grill cover for any signs of meat.

Our beautiful new garden spot...we tried to save the grass before we tilled it by moving it to our dirt area by the alley. Hopefully the sod will take.

So far, I have planted radishes, peppers, carrots, cabbage and onion from seeds. I also planted some bulbs of onion (sweet white) and garlic!
I have started my 2010 garden and this year it is going to be bigger and better than ever! Last year was the first summer we lived in our house, so I just planted all my veggies next to the house. Well, that was not the best idea, because it was so crowded that the tomatoes took over our rose bush. This year the tomatoes will be in containers and the rest of the vegetables will be in a nice garden next to our driveway. The sun hits it in the morning and evening.
