Family: 60 years in the making

My grandparents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on April 30th.
To help celebrate, my Great Aunt Iona and second cousin Linda came from California. Then my Aunt Carol and my cousin Jim plus his wife Mandi and two children Brynn and Liam drove down from Michigan/Wisconsin. So we had 15 people and one dog at many meals. It was a lot of people, mor than we are used to having around, but a lot of fun. My Aunt Janet, mom and I planned out the meals, so grandma did not have to cook for so many people and we all helped bring something each night.
It's hard to believe people are married for 60 years anymore, with the divorce rate so high. It will be fun to see if they celebrate their 75th wedding annivesary! Grandpa will be 98 and Grandma will be 95. Matt and I have neighbors who are just about to celebrate their 75th so all things are possible!

Liam and Brynn LOVE cake. They must take after their dad, Jim.

Brynn's favorite phrase was "Doggie my friend!" So cute! Bow even enjoyed having "little people" close to her size to play with.

Sitting around our dining room table visiting after pizza pie.
