Happy Mother's Day!

Glenda and Mom at the Farmer's Market

Juicy tomatoes!

Mom trying a tomato. She said they tasted like summer.

Great flowers and veggie plants were everywhere at the Farmers' Market.

My mom is an awesome lady. She has really been there for me through thick and thin...and I know it was pretty thin when I was a strong-willed child growing up. :-) (Thanks Mom!) So this weekend I took her to Omaha for a little shopping, dining, wine-ing and fun! Mom's friend Glenda from Des Moines was her surprise guest and they got to catch up over some wine, crackers and wonderful cheese in a can. We ate at Wheatfields (yum-o!) and the Summer Kitchen (great breakfasts!) then we visited our favorite store TJ Maxx. Mom went a little crazy in the storage container aisle, but she found some great deals! We also stayed at a beautiful Marriott hotel that normally costs $595 per night. Wowser! We paid about 1/11 of the cost. The best part of the entire trip was the Omaha Farmers' Market. It was 37 degrees when we got there, but definitely worth it. Happy Mother's Day Mom!
