Chicago Girls' Weekend Trip: Part I

Every few months Betsy, Nellie, Jennifer and I get together for girls' weekend.
This time we decided to take a trip to Chi-town.
It was sooooooo much fun.
Chicago is a very friendly city and I loved every minute of our trip.
Next year when we turn 30 (except for Jennifer) we will have to plan a phenomenal trip.
But, for now, here's a look back at Chicago from my camera.
We woke up at 3:30 a.m. on Friday.
We got to the train station at 4:15 a.m.
We found out our train was delayed and would not leave until 6:15 a.m.
The train pulled out of the station at 6:50 a.m.
We were tired and a bit crabby.
Luckily Betsy's boyfriend Alex took us to McDonald's for a 5 a.m. breakfast.
We went to the bathroom a zillion times before boarding the train.
Not sure if they'd be like plane bathrooms on the train.
We made up a million rhymes to "on the train" like when Betsy went to Spain.
3:30 a.m. wake up calls make you do weird things.

At 5:30 p.m. we pulled in Chicago's Union Station. Here's our first look of the city.

One of my favorite parts of Chicago is Millenium Park.

We got some funny photos at the Bean (Nellie has good ones on her camera.)

Jennifer, Nellie and I at the Bean.

Jennifer and Nellie toured the Art Institute of Chicago.

They both enjoyed it, especially the miniatures and the exhibit of photos of sausage.

Not sure what those photos showed.

Betsy and I decided these trees are artistic.

They were outside the Art Institute of Chicago.

Betsy found a great Groupon for a mani/pedi at B. Bella Salon and Spa.

I went with bright blue polish and Betsy got a dark purple.

Now my feet are ready for spring!

Betsy and I ventured up to Wrigley Field to see the home of the Chicago Cubs (Matt is a big fan), and it was deserted. But we did see neat seats on top of homes surrounding the stadium. It also stated to pour and we got a bit soaked, so we hopped back on the "L" to downtown.

Nellie was excited for her margarita at Adobo in Old Town. Ole!

We ate there before Second City.

Jennifer got called onstage and she had to sing! She did a great job, too!

Jennifer and I with our mojito-tini and Forbidden Fruit Martini at the Redhead Piano Bar.

Nellie and Betsy got smoothies in Chinatown.

I have a million photos of the food we ate, but that will be saved for another post.
