Weekend Fun

It's the month of birthdays! First it was Nellie, then my mother-in-law, then Sara D. and now my Mom's! 

Miss Lauri hosted a very nice birthday brunch for Mom and some of her friends. It was delish! (We had mimosas! Yum!)

They went to get pedicures while I went home to get to work in my garden on such a nice day.

This is what I started with....can you spot my helper?

Then I used a shovel and some elbow grease to get the garden spot dug up.

I'm trying something new this year and doing a pallet garden.  I planted cauliflower first.  (Thanks for the pallet Kellee!)  Next I plan to plant tomatoes, peppers, zuchini, cucumber and maybe something new like yellow squash.

Matthew was busy mowing on Saturday then he put up more tile in the kitchen. It's about 2/3's of the way done. Once all the tile is up we will grout and put up the window trim. (Please excuse my dirty dishes.)

I spent some time on Sunday visiting a new baby!  Holly had a little girl on Friday and she is soooo adorable!  Gracelynne weighed 9 lbs and was 19 inches long. I just want to pinch her chubby cheeks.

And her big brothers are very proud.
