On Saturday my dad's extended family headed down to Hornick, Iowa for the town's 125th celebration.
It turned out to be a beautiful morning with overcast skies and a breeze.
The parade lasted over an hour long!
And, kids, along with us adults, received TONS of candy, popsicles and water.
Plus a few magnets and koozies.
The best part?
My Great Aunt Marian (aka the favorite aunt) was parade marshall! (She's in the blue.)
After the parade there was pie, ice cream, free burgers and hot dogs and a quilt show.
My dad, Uncle Bob and brother David enjoyed many popsicles.
Mom, Aunt Paula, me and Matthew also enjoyed a few as the sun started to peek through the clouds.
Happy 125th Hornick!
