Weekend Update

I heart four-day weekends!

On Friday of Thanksgiving weekend Matthew did some more yard work for his lawn fertilizer business and hit up Sears for some sales while Graham and I headed to my parents' house to sort our 31 order. My Mom and I took Graham shopping at Target and to see Uncle David after many unsuccessful napping attempts.

Jennifer and Chris came over on Friday night. We ordered Chinese food from Hunan Palace and once Graham went to bed Jennifer and I headed to Old Navy to check out the sales while Matthew and Chris talked football.

Saturday I got to spend some time with Rebecca with a Starbucks run and sewing! We also headed to Hobby Lobby with her three sons and did some wacky picture frame photos. (I got the idea from Nellie Smith!)

For an early Christmas present I got the Wilson kiddos Santa cups, snowman Rice Krispie treats and of course, banana muffins!

Since it was so nice outside (50 degrees!) Matthew, Graham and I went for a walk with Tootsie. Who knew it'd be so nice on the last day of November 2013! I am trying to think of new creative dinner ideas so with our leftover turkey we made turkey pot pies! Here's the easy recipe:
1 c. turkey (I used dark meat)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 onion soup mix packet
1/2 c. carrots, chopped
1/2 c. celery, chopped
1 1/2 tubes Crescent rolls
Spray a muffin pan with canola oil spray. Lay the crescent rolls in the pan and mix the rest of the ingredients in a separate bowl. Use a cookie scoops to fill the muffin tins with the turkey mixture. Pinch the Crescent rolls together on top and sprinkle with Mrs. Dash. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Enjoy!

Sunday was another good family day. We put up our Christmas tree and Matthew made some shelves for the basement, so we can get organized. Then we had pizza with Jon and Alex after a little shopping at my favorite boutique-Target!

Happy December!
