Another good weekend bites the dust! Friday Graham and I hung out at home then we went with Grandpa to Sam's Club for some staples (blueberries, applesauce packets, milk and ketchup--all in bulk, of course) then Graham tried to boycott naps. Tiredness eventually won and he took a two hour nap while I did some work around the house to clean up before Miss Lauri stopped by! She and Graham played, read books and ate blueberry coffee cake.
Since it was Valentine's Day Matthew made spaghetti for dinner (my request!) and we watched a Hawaii 5-0 marathon. Saturday I went to lunch with Joyce and Becca. Joyce's bday was last week and mine is this week so we had to get dessert!
The rest of the day was spent at home with the exception of a walk outside. It went well until Graham's forehead met the driveway and we headed back indoors. It was nothing a trip to Target could not fix! Graham and I did a little shopping and got Matthew some cold medicine. My dad came for dinner on Saturday night, too.
Graham and I went to church on Sunday while Matthew stayed home to nurse his cold. Graham tried to talk during church so he ended up in the nursery. He's going through some major mom-separation so when I picked him up he and the other little girl were both sitting on the nursery attendent's lap with red eyes.
We played at home some more before heading to my grandparent's house for dinner and my dad came, too. All in all it was a good weekend and we woke to cold, snow and ice today (Matthew had a late start!) but it should hit 50 degrees by this afternoon. Typical Iowa winter weather!
