I cannot believe Memorial Day is coming up in 11 days! That means summer is just around the corner, Chris and Jennifer's wedding is almost here, and we really need to stick to our schedule of trying out a new park a week. I am very jazzed to be not pregnant this summer and to have two active boys to chase around!
We started our park adventures at Kiwanis Park in Sgt. Bluff. Nana came along and we ate lunch there then went down all the slides. Even Nana went down a very tall slide twice! It was a cute park and the perfect size for Graham!
Then Matthew and I ran with the boys in the Race for a Cure through downtown Sioux City on Mother's Day. I started out with Graham then switched with Matthew. Graham is 38 pounds plus the stroller. Behrend was a much lighter option. I am not sure of my race time since I did not realize where the race ended. Everyone in front of me went into the main doors of the convention center so I did, too. Turns out we were supposed to go in the back. Whoops! I think I finished in 35 minutes, give or take a few.
Then we had two playdates in one day! First cousin Sean came over to see Graham's new sandbox then we went to Nana's house and had Jagger over to play in the backyard.
Behrend is getting so tall! If he grows two and a half more inches he will be exactly half my height. I think I am doomed to be the shortest person in our immediate family.
Tonight we hit up the Morningside Days parade with Uncle David and my MOPS friend Amanda and her girls. Talk about a cultural experience. Parades must bring out all the crazies in town!
Happy Mid-May!
