(Here is the wonderful man I am living with.)
I grew up with a younger brother, so I thought I knew everything there is to know about living with men. Then I moved in with Matthew after dating for a year and 10 months and I realized it gets even better....at times.
1) Men love to change the channel to History, ESPN, Discovery, Spike or anything "manly"; they do not have patience for America's Next Top Model, Gossip Girl or Ugly Betty.
2) Men are great at grilling. Somehow they can look at a piece of meat and know it's medium-rare. While I have to get the steak knife and cut into the meat, which I am told is bad, because it "releases the natural juices."
3) Men can play or talk about video games for hours.
4) Men are great for spooning, especially being big spoon...and they can block the cool air blowing in from the window by the bed.
5) Men think beer should be one of the four major food groups.
6) Men really do have a soft side, they just like to appear hardened and tough. They usually melt a little around babies or little doggies/kitties.
7) Men think it's okay to fart- anytime, anywhere.
8) Men think women do not poop or fart or sweat...ever.
9) Men do not understand why it takes women so long to get beautiful in the morning. (Do they think we are all natural beauties?)
10) Men, especially my man, make coming home more enjoyable. It's nice to know he's going to be there.
