In honor of my 28th birthday, here is something that I remember (or my mom told me) from each year that made me who I am today.
Year 1: I was born! (Yep, thanks mom for remembering!)
Year 2: I found out I was getting a sibling...a baby brother!
Year 3: I saw my first movie "The Jungle Book"
Year 4: I went to preschool and a little boy had a big crush on me (thanks mom)
Year 5: I kissed a boy (Danny Winterlin) for the first time!
Year 6: I was playing tag on the playground and my friend Matt Skuya pushed me down while I was talking and I scrapped my nose and my tongue!
Year 7: I got the chicken pox.
Year 8: I sold a ton of cookies for Girl Scouts. Yay merit badges!
Year 9: I learned sign language in summer school.
Year 10: I got glasses...now I could see!
Year 11: I went to Disneyland for the first time.
Year 12: I must have done something.... :-)
Year 13: I went to T.W.I.R.P. and Jon Attema wore a ton of cologne that my mom's van smelled like it for a week afterward.
Year 14: I got my driver's permit!
Year 15: I played tennis for East.
Year 16: I got my driver's license and my first job at TJ Maxx.
Year 17: Became part of the "Sara(h)" twins with Sara Orr
Year 18: Went to college. Go Beavers!
Year 19: Lived away from home for an entire year.
Year 20: Went to Philadelphia and Washington D.C.
Year 21: Dated a cheesehead and lived in Wisconsin for a month-long internship.
Year 22: Got my first "real" job after college at the Star and an apartment
Year 23: Hit a deer on my way home from Lincoln, totalled the first Malibu
Year 24: Lost my great grandpa and my second Malibu in one week, but met Matt!
Year 25: Diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, and went to California!
Year 26: Got my own dog and Matt and I bought a house!
Year 27: Got engaged and married within 5 months!
Year 28: Yet to be determined....
