Goodbye gallbladder. It was nice knowing you

On Tuesday I said goodbye to a close personal body part of mine...my gallbladder. And now I can say "Good riddens!" :-) Actually, I only had one "attack" then lots of pressure, but none of the horrible problems some people experience. My gallbladder was rather sluggish instead of filled with stones. The doc said my function number should be at 35 or higher, but mine was 14.7. Not really sure why it turned sluggish, but it may be hereditary (my dad and grandparents are all gallbladder-less) and my chemo might have done a number on my insides that I am learning about as I get older. But, I had a great surgeon (Dr. Morris has done 4 of my 5 surgeries) and went in around 9 a.m., surgery at 11 a.m. and I was home by 2 p.m. Now I am very slooooow and my tummy feels huge, but I am hoping that's swelling and not the piece of pumpkin pie I ate before surgery. :-)
