A Coffee Date

If we were to go on a coffee date.. I would take you to one of my favorite local places Katch A Kup. We would sit at the booth that has a window view, and I would get a black, unsweetened iced tea of course, because they're my favorite and I don't drink coffee.  (And perhaps a dessert, because they are so good there!)

I would tell you that my life is blessed, and I am thankful for everything I have been given, including my cancer and bad jobs, because I am so thankful for all the people I have met through those hard times.
I believe everything happens for a reason and God has a plan for each of us.

I would probably tell you that I have a lot going on.

I would tell you that I am so excited for our vacation to Minnesota this summer, and that I can't afford everything that I'd love to do up there, but the lodge has free canoes!

I would tell you that I miss my three girlfriends in Nebraska, but we have plans to get together in August.
I would tell you that Carrie's Underwood's song "Two Black Cadillacs" is my new favorite song to listen to.

I would tell you that I have not gone to church for two weeks and this week Matthew will be gone and even though I don't like going by myself I plan to go.

I would tell you that my dog has a bad heart, but she's doing a lot better.

I would tell you I have dinner plans with my favorite 86-year-old neighbor Helen.

I would tell you my garden is doing well, but we need rain.

I would tell you both my parents are retired as of this month, and they are going to pick up my Great Aunt Iona and bring her back to Iowa in June.  I am very excited!

I would ask you how you were doing, about your family.. about your life.

Then I would tell you that we should keep in touch, and talk again really soon.
