Five People

One of my favorite websites, Healthy Tipping Point, had an interesting post this a.m.  (Go to http://www.healthytippingpoint.com/2012/08/five-people.html to read more from Caitlin.)   Caitlin read an article by Jim Rohn and the main point of the article is the five people who you spend your most time with make you who you are.  I was trying to think of the five people I spend the most of my time with and it's really hard to narrow it down.

I used to spend a lot of time with Bows.  She was a great companion....in the fact that she loved to sleep.

Now I spend a lot of time with Tootsie.  She is a great snuggler and we take 3 walks together each day.

My husband Matthew is the human I spend the most of my time with.  However, he is starting a new job and not home quite as often.  But I still make him go for our nightly walks.

I also spend a lot of time with my family, especially my brother David (above) and my parents (below).

Matthew and I as a couple spend a lot of time with our friends Sara and Nick. We go in spurts of how often we get together depending on people's schedules, but we love to go out to eat together. (Fun fact: Nick and Sara set up Matthew and I.)

Another fun fact: Becca and I were buds back in grade school and reconnected.  Now we live 6 blocks apart and spend some quality time together.  She is teaching me to sew and I provide her with tomatoes and baked goods.

I have gotten to know many people by joining Junior League of SC.  I love to hang out with Kristin, Krista and Kellee.

Fun fact: Steph and I lived together for four years.  Then I moved in with Matthew and we have remained friends.  Steph is a great one to make you laugh and our dogs have play dates.

My BFFs live far away (boo!), but I still manage to see Betsy, Nellie and Jennifer every 1-3 months. I love that we make it a priority to get together...and play Truth or Truth!

Family friends are also important.  My Mom and Miss Lauri (above) have been friends for over 35 years!  Thus the reason why I am friends with Emily (below), Katie and Rachel. They are my longest friends (along with Erin O'Brien) thanks to my mom's relationships.

I also see a lot of my extended family.  My dad's brother and his wife (above) live up the street from Matthew and I.  My grandparents on my mom's side live in SC and I stay connected with far away relations like my Great Aunt Iona (below) in California by taking frequent trips (including an upcoming one this fall!).

Other people not pictured that I spend much of my time with are my co-workers, Jolene (former co-worker and friend), and neighbors like Helen.

So in closing I really can't pick just 5 people I spend time with, because I love people and am often off galavanting around with one person or another....or a dog. :-)

Happy Friday!
