N is for Not Finding Out the Sex (31 Weeks)

N is for Not Finding Out the Sex--I am one of those people who always reads the ending of a book before I get very far into it, so I was very surprised when I found myself saying to Matthew "I think we should wait and be surprised with what our baby is (boy/girl)."  Of course, Matthew is much more patient than I am and had no problem with this.  And, surprisingly, I have enjoyed not knowing. It has really curbed my baby clothes shopping, too.   I am also surprised by how many people are not happy with us, because they want to know right now. Only 9 more weeks until we find out!

How far along? 31 Weeks

Baby’s Size: About 3 pounds (the size of a pineapple)

Weight Gain: +17 pounds (But I could fit into a pair of my pre-pregnancy jeans with the use of a trusty hair tie to keep the zipper and button shut.)

Bellybutton: Still an innie.

Stretchmarks: Keep using the lotion.

Fitness:
Wednesday-- 2 mile walk
Thursday-- 2 mile walk
Friday--  1 mile walk
Saturday-- Rest Day
Sunday-- 1.5 mile walk
Monday-- .5 mile walk
Tuesday-- 1.5 mile walk
Wednesday-- 2 mile walk
Total = 10.5 miles

Names: I want to check out a "Name your baby" book from the library to help us clear up our lists and narrow it down to a few names.

31 Weeks

Gender: I really have no idea, but it would be fun if my friend Becca and I both had girls who could be good friends like we are.

Baby Movement: I can tell things are getting a bit crowded in there, but the baby is still moving around.

Sleep: I love it! I need lots of it!

Food: I am on my no-meat kick again. I admit to making hamburger helper this week for the first time in 20 years and it was made minus the hamburger.

THINGS/PROGRESS TO DO:  We are taking Childbirth Preparation/Bootcamp for New Dads Class on Saturday.

Best Moments of the Week:   Putting up the Christmas tree!  Cuddles with Tootsie.  Christmas cards are starting to come in the mail! (Side note: We are choosing to not send Christmas cards this year. Instead we are sending baby announcements in February.)

I have always envisioned waiting to find out the sex too. People have told me there's no way I'll do that and I'll want to know. But we'll see. I just think it's one of the true surprises in life, so why spoil it? :)
