Wednesday
Met with possible doula, I started to feel sick, Becca called to say she thinks she is in labor, Becca's husband calls at 11:30 p.m. and said Becca is for sure in labor, I rush to their house in my pajamas and send them onto the hospital.
Thursday
Becca calls me at 2 a.m. to say baby Gianna is here and she arrived within an hour of getting to the hospital, Becca's husband comes home at 4 a.m., I call in sick to work and go to the doctor, get antibiotic and sleep all day, Matt gets to hold the baby
Friday
Go to work, still feel kind of icky, drive to Wayne with Mom and David to attend Matthew's graduation ceremony, host a little get together at our house to honor the graduate
Saturday
Bake cookies, feeling better, Becca calls to say she is going home today, I go to Becca's house to watch her three boys while Mark brings her home, Becca is not coming home until tomorrow, Matthew and I watch the three boys, dinner at McDonald's and a trip to the mall's play place, watch Transformers with the boys and eat popcorn, Matthew receives his Nebraska teaching license via e-mail
Sunday
Matthew wakes up with a cold, fumigate house with Lysol, I take Tootsie on a 2-mile walk to get some fresh air, drop off cookie trays to friends and family, crash into bed with lots of snoring
'
Monday
Matthew receives Iowa teaching license in Des Moines, dinner at Mom and Dad's, I snore so loud my husband sleeps on living room floor (sorry!)
Tuesday
Matthew starts getting paid...yay!, visit baby Gianna and get to hold her (finally!), 2-mile walk with Tootsie to Walgreens to pick up Christmas card photos, mindless TV and early to bed
I am so proud of Matthew for graduating! And, we are very thankful to the U.S. Army for the GI Bill.
