I absolutely love having Fridays off. It is especially nice when Matthew is home on summer break. We can do family activities, take a long weekend trip or just hang out at home and be lazy together. This Friday Matthew needed to work on his truck so I ran Tootsie to the groomers for her summer hairdo then stopped at Target on my way home for a few essentials (overnight diapers and funfetti pancake mix!).
After Graham's nap the Wilsons stopped over and we all hoofed it up to the library for Graham's first trip to the public library. Becca and I attempted to "jog" with our jogging strollers and I have to say I love my jogger! We found it at Second Season thrift store (love them!) and it was super cheap. After a good washing the stroller is like brand new and Graham feels comfortable enough to fall asleep in it.
Graham and I made a mad dash to Chick Fil A with the Wilsons, but Graham and Gianna broke down. They were hungry and tired, so we went through the drive through and came home to eat. Then Graham took a nap and when he woke up Uncle David came over to bake a cake and go get a few items from Lauri's house with Matthew. Hello treadmill! Now I have no excuse to not run.
We also had a cookout at my parents' house with my aunt and uncle. Then on Saturday we had a lazy day at home and had friends over for a grill out. (It was funny we ended up discussing politics. I thought how different we are in our 30's vs. our early 20's.) On Sunday Graham went on his first picnic at Riverside Park and for a walk along the Missouri River. We also visited Great Grandma and Great Grandpa. Then we came home with a very tired baby.
