Graham (6 months) Update

DSCN4052

Graham is becoming such a big boy! He is so long that he's been wearing 12-month size onsies and outfits, and even one 12-18 mo. onsie from Old Navy. He also has adorable chubby wrists and thighs and his feet are even chubby!

I packed away all of Graham's size 6 mo. clothes.

--First ride in jogging stroller
--First visit to Steph and Kevin's house in Omaha
--First visit to James and Katie's house in Lennox
--First 4th of July
--First picnic
--First visit to the public library
--Sitting up at 5 mo, 25 days.

Likes:
--Tootsie. His eyes light up when he sees the dog do anything....walk by, rub against the carpet, bark, you name it...
--Eating. He loves to drink milk and eat oatmeal. This kid does not skip a meal. (Side note: He does need to nurse in a quiet room, because he is so into what's happening around him. And, if his dad starts talking he just stares at Matthew.)
--Putting toys in his mouth. Also, carseat straps, people's fingers, and just about anything he can get ahold of goes in his mouth.
--Walks! Now that we have a new jogging stroller he has a more comfortable ride.

Dislikes:
--Diaper changes before eating. He absolutely wants to eat before he gets his diaper changed, no matter how full his diaper is.
--Taking naps when he is not tired...or when he thinks he's not tired.

Sleeping:
--Graham used to sleep through the night from 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., but he stopped doing that around June 1st. Since then he's woken up two to three times per night. It was really affecting how Matthew and I function during the day. So, we started to think that maybe Graham was just hungry. When he would wake up he'd nurse and after a diaper change he'd go right back to sleep. So, now our solution is for me to nurse Graham then Matthew gives him a bottle of 3-4 ounces of formula and that seems to keep him pretty full. Some nights he still wakes up, but we are all doing better.

Graham is just a lot of fun to be around and he has a very happy personality. We are looking forward to the next six months!
