I love list posts, and today I have one for you about myself and not the adorable Graham. I saw this on MSN and wondered if I have accomplished all 30 of the items on the list. Check it out below.
1. How to change a flat tire
Nope. I am pretty sure I am not strong enough to get the lug nuts off, but I sure know a few people to call if I need help with my lug nuts.
2. How to parallel park
Yes! I can parallel park like a ninja....unless I am driving Matthew's huge truck. That might require a bit more practice.
3. Whether you want kids....and why
Yep. I knew I wanted kids and I secretly always wanted to have my first kid before the age of 30. Well, I got pregnant and had Graham during my 30th year and I think it was great timing.
4. How to set up your computer, video and audio equipment
I can set most things up and if I can't figure it out there is always You Tube or my brother.
5. Where you want to be by the time you are 40
Hmmm....I have an idea that I'd like to be debt free, have more kids, be happy in my career and continue to be healthy.
6. Which things you learned about yourself as a kid are true
Well, I learned I hate public speaking and while I can do it as an adult I am still not a big fan.
7. Throw a surprise party that's really a surprise
I was in on the planning of Betsy, Nellie and Jennifer's surprise parties for their 30th birthdays.
8. Why you don't regret leaving your 20s
I really enjoyed my 20s and don't regret leaving them because life is great, but there is a part of me that would love to head back to my early 20s when Steph and I lived in our apartment and were footloose and fancy free.
9. How to pack for a two-week trip in one carry-on
I don't think I've ever taken a two-week trip. The longest trips I've taken were to California or our honeymoon to Yellowstone/Grand Tetons. Both time I know I took more than a carry-on. I am getting better about packing light for me, but not so light for Graham.
10. How to care for your skin, hair, body and why it's important
This one took me a long time. I've always had acne prone skin (except during chemo), so I tried all kinds of products. Now I just wash my face at night with Dove Sensitive Skin soap then use a light lotion like Cetaphil or one of my Clinique samples plus undereye cream. In the a.m. I just splash my face with water before applying make up. For my hair I usually wash it every 2-4 days and I take a shower or bath every day but I always apply lotion all over.
Stay tuned for the next 10 things tomorrow!
