I love reading the Day in the Life posts from other bloggers, so I thought I'd do one about our Monday-Thursday schedule.
5:15 a.m.
Matthew's first alarm goes off. Five minutes later his second alarm goes off. He hits the snooze on the one in our bedroom and his phone alarm automatically goes to snooze after annoyingly announcing it's time to get up.
5:30-5:50 a.m.
Matthew finally shuts off his alarm and hauls his booty out of bed. I snuggle deeper into the covers and Tootsie takes his spot.
6 a.m.
My alarm goes off and I hit snooze a few times.
6:30 a.m.
I get up and say goodbye to Matthew as he heads off on his 1-hour commute. Then I move as quickly as possible to do my hair, makeup, heat up the baby's bottle, make breakfast, and feed and let the dog out.
7:00 a.m.
Tootsie and I wake up Graham and snuggle while he drinks his morning bottle. Then it's time for he and I to eat breakfast before I change Graham's diaper and get him dressed.
7:40-7:50 a.m.
We scurry out the door amidst yelling "goodbyes" to Tootsie. Answer Matthew's phone call that he arrived at school safely.
7:55 a.m.
Arrive at the babysitter's house and say goodbye to Graham.
8:00-8:15 a.m.
The workday begins. I check e-mail and listen to voicemail.
Noon-12:30 p.m.
Lunchtime! I am trying to do better at eating healthy, so I usually pack my lunch.
12:30-4:30 p.m.
More work, work, work. Sometimes I travel to meetings out of town.
4:45 p.m.
Arrive back at the babysitter's house to pick up Graham. Hear about his day and how well he napped.
5:00 p.m.
Graham and I get home in time to let a frantic Tootsie outside to go potty. Graham eats some snack puffs and plays while I make dinner and unpack our bags.
5:30-6:30 p.m.
Matthew arrives home and we sit down to dinner. Weeknights consist of lots of crockpot dinners. Graham has started eating what we eat for dinner, which makes it easier.
6:30-7:00 p.m.
Bathtime! Graham loves bathtime and his new favorite bath toy is an onion keeper (ha!). He hates getting out of the tub and has a fit unless I let him chew on his toothbrush.
7:00-7:30 p.m.
Graham plays a bit more and we read books before laying him down for bed. He cuddles up to his sheep and lights out.
7:30-10:00 p.m.
Matthew and I wash dishes, make lunches for the next day, set the coffee pot alarm, prepare bottles and fold laundry before showers and watching a little bit of television. Tootsie takes her pre-bedtime long nap since she was chased around by Graham.
10:00-10:30 p.m.
Lights out!
