BV Memories

This weekend my college roommate Betsy and I went back to Storm Lake for Buena Vista University's homecoming celebration. The funniest part of the day was when we pulled up to campus and say a large parking lot conviently located next to our old dorm. When we were in college 4 years ago, there was not a lot of parking there.
Betsy was very excited about the up close parking and said "Remember when we had to walk a mile from the parking lot?"
Ha!
I said, "Betsy...it was more like a block." :-)
We took a tour of the brand new Arts and Social Sciences building and visited the science center and Lage (which really needs a rich donor to invest some money in a new roof, carpet, everything). Then we had lunch with Jen (Einck) Irvine, who now lives in Spencer. It was great to see her and catch up.
There is also a new lighthouse, public swimming beach and jetty on the lake. Plus Storm Lake has a Walgreen's now and Honeykissed Pizza is on the main drag.
Of course, Bows was super excited to wear her new BV blue and gold sweater and show off her BV Beaver.
