Mucho Travel

I am back in the beautiful land of Sioux City after a 2 1/2 day conference in Ames, Iowa. Lacey and I attended a conference called "Homeland Security presents Business Continuity Planning" or something along those lines. It was definitely worthwhile, but I find it very hard to sit still for 8 hours per day. Luckily, they kept us full of snacks, pop and knowledge. :-)

I met a man from Puerto Rico who had never been to Iowa before nor had he ever seen snow. His exact words were "I have never been this cold in my life." And, he informed us that Puerto Rico's economy is well and their retail market is thriving. He said his wife prefers to go shopping instead of to the beach. Oh and he was easy on the eyes, so that made the conference more enjoyable.

Next up, I travel to some night meetings in the 5-county radius then I travel to Des Moines for a few days in Feb. and then to sunny California! I promise to post some updated photos soon!

That's funny 'cause I have a Puerto Rican guy in my office that's here on temporary assignment. He looks more African American than Puerto Rican to me. Oh well.
