Update on resolutions

I posted a post listing my 2009 resolutions and here is an update on how things are coming:

1) For Matt and I to travel somewhere via airplane. I am still working on this resolution, but we have talked about where we'd like to travel. While we both enjoy the idea of visiting Hawaii, we might want to be more realistic and settle for something else fun and cheaper like Vegas.

2) To really get healthy. This one is coming along well. Matthew and I have not been eating out much and when I do, I plan ahead so I don't go nuts. Also, I have been doing my 20-minute Jillian Michael's DVD every day in 2009. I figure it's only 20 minutes, so I can give my body that much time daily.

3) To not shop as often. I have the store credit cards paid off and I have been avoiding them, because I know they are my weakness. I did venture to Hobby Lobby today to get some special items to finish my homemade presents for the Omaha/Lincoln chicas, but the rest will be homemade!

4) To eat more meals at home. As you can tell from my post #2, we are doing well on this. I have been trying new recipes (as posted earlier) and am glad to have leftovers. Sometimes food is better the second day.

5) To really clean out the house and basement and hold a garage sale in May. I have not ventured to the basement for awhile, but I put all the Christmas stuff in boxes and in one part of the basement we will use for storage. Tonight I plan to tackle my sock drawer then hit up my closet and dresser this weekend.

I'm so proud of you! I went to an exercise class at my parent's church last night and it kicked my butt! Don't stress too much about the organizing because that will always be there to do, but the healthy lifestyle needs to be done now, like you are!
