New year, new recipes

I love to cook as you all know and lately, I have been a big fan of the crock pot. Here are a few recipes my co-worker Lacey gave me. I think I am going to try them out this weekend. Matt is my taste tester and he is pretty honest if something is not good.

Sweet and Sour Pork Chops
2-4 pork chops
1 can sauerkraut with juice
2 chopped apples
chopped onion
Combine in a crockpot, cook on low all day.

Cheesy Pork Chops
2-4 pork chops (can also use chicken breasts)
4 chopped potatoes
chunks of Velveeta or other hard cheese
chopped onion
garlic seasoning
Combine in a crock pot, cook all day on low. ( I might add some frozen brocoli or green beans with this.)

Sarah, this recipe is great, and it freezes well. I freeze them as "dinners for two" that can be thawed out when it's my night to cook.

Peachy Pork Chops
- 6-8 (3/4 inch thick) bone-in pork chops*
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (28 ounce) can peach halves with juice
- 1/4 cup white vinegar

STEP ONE: Brown pork chops in skillet on both sides and place in oval slow cooker.

STEP TWO: Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves, tomato sauce, 1/4 cup juice from peaches, and vinegar in bowl.

STEP THREE: Pour sugar-tomato sauce mixture over pork chops and place peach halves over top. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours.

*I always use boneless, I don't think it makes a difference.
