Sleepless nights

This might look like the face of an angel...but believe me she can be a little devil!

Bows spent many days waking up at random times throughout the night....like 11:30 p.m., midnight, 3 a.m., 5:30 a.m. or 6:30 a.m. Keep in mind that I like to get 8 hours of sleep or I am VERY crabby. And, Bows only likes to jump against my side of the bed or bark at me when she wants to play, eat or cuddle in the middle of the night. It got so bad I was even sharing stories with my friends who have babies about when they'd be up in the night. I don't know what's worse, changing a poopy diaper or having to let the dog out when it's freezing cold out.

I came to the conclusion that Bows was sleeping all day while Matt and I were at work or school, plus she was not getting any walks or outside play time b/c of the negative temperatures. Thankfully, the last two nights she has slept in until 6:30 a.m. due to tiredness from a combination of going to people's houses, road trips, and playing with other dogs.

Who knew dogs, especially almost 12-year-old dogs, can be such hard work?
