The weekend was very busy in our house. On Friday I attended Junior League's Attack the Back at noon. The ATB was in preparation for the Women Aware/JL event to donate dresses. (Here I am with Amy after I scrubbed the bathroom and she cleaned the kitchen sink.)
Cyndi preparing the table with pretty dishes.
That evening Matthew and I had a date at Applebee's then we went home to watch "The Change Up" (a pretty funny yet raunchy movie) and I baked brownie-chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes.
On Sunday we drove up to Sioux Falls to take Matt's Grandma her Christmas present and to see the rest of the family. Xander was celebrating his 4th birthday and he got some neat (and loud) presents. The cupcakes were a hit with the family and Aunt Barb made great brownies.
Bows stayed home with my parents on Saturday. On Sunday we went to church then lunch with my grandparents at McDonalds. Then Matthew watched 7 hours of football while I played Dorothy Domestic and baked/cooked and cleaned/organized the computer room. It was the first time in many weekends that we had no plans and Bows was glad we were home since she got 2 walks.
Then we crashed on Sunday night. Even Bows was beat.
On Monday I went to the gym (yay 4 mile run!) and went to Steph's for dinner. She made delicious tater tot casserole, fruit salad and crescent rolls. Then I showed her how I made my burlap wreaths. She made a brown one for herself and a red one for her boyfriend Kevin.
Bows and Steph's dog Simon were our supervisors.
I love buttons. I always save buttons that come extra on sweaters. You never know when you will need buttons for some craft project.
Simon is a bit camera shy. :-)
The almost finished wreath! (Thanks for dinner Steph!)
Up next this week: Junior League meeting, at least 4 visits to the gym, a night meeting for work, and no plans for this upcoming weekend.
