Changes in the kitchen

Change is happening in our house again. This time it's the kitchen's turn!

I love all the natural light in my kitchen and the stretch of counterspace....but I do not like the ugly fake brick backsplash, the countertops or the knobs on my cabinets. (Can you find Bows in this pic? She's never far from me.)

So this is our uber messy kitchen before the remodel starts.

Look the fake brick is gone!

Someone was locked out of the kitchen because she was always underfoot. She was not happy to be stuck in the dining room.

Matthew took off the fake brick and filled in the holes. Next step he will mud and smooth the backsplash so I can start painting.

We are doing the walls in Antique White and choosing a darker laminet countertop. 

(Matthew also installed two new windows in the kitchen this fall, so we will add trim around those.)

A quick pick me up for our kitchen.  I think it will make cooking even more fun! Now...if I can only find somoene who likes clean-up and doing the dishes!
