Matthew left last Wednesday on his motorcycle for an epic journey to San Antonio, Texas. One of his good buddies from the Army was getting married on June 1st, which happened to be the same day one of my favorite people Steph was marrying Kevin in Sioux City. So, Graham, Tootsie and I held down the fort while Matthew got to take a solo trip down south to the Texas heat and sunshine. Alas, we were only home alone for two nights before Betsy and Nellie came to stay. And, it was nice having the extra sets of hands, because Graham decided to pick the week his Dad was in Texas to start getting three teeth! (Four months sounds young to get teeth, but I got out my baby book and I got my first tooth at four months, 13 days of age....yes, my Mom is a detailed sort of lady and I love how specific my baby book is. Note to self---start writing more things in Graham's baby book.)
Graham has discovered a new toy. Sophie the Giraffe is a great teething toy and if you bend her neck a squeaky sound comes out. It sounds simliar to Tootsie's toy, but Tootsie is not into toys so she leaves Graham's Sophie alone.
One night there was a beautiful sunset before another thunderstorm rolled in. Clark told me it looked like the sky was on fire. I agree Clark, I agree.
Miss G and Clark came over to play at our house on Friday, so Becca could get a haircut in peace and quiet. Miss G was sleepy, so she took a nap on the bed while Graham napped in his crib. Then they got to play a bit before it was time for Miss G and Clark to go to lunch with their brothers and Grandpa.
I think Miss G is shocked that Graham is not wearing any pants!
Clark and I watched PBS Kids, played ball and ate cookies. It was a productive morning.
On Friday Betsy arrived so we went to Chick Fil A for lunch, visited David's new house and went for a walk to Becca's. Of course, we stopped at Rainbow Snow on our way home.
Then Nellie arrived!
Betsy watched Graham so Nellie and I could go to Steph and Kevin's rehearsal dinner at Aggie's.
Stay tuned for wedding pics and more of the weekend!
