On Friday, Feb. 13 Matt went with me to the June E. Nylen Cancer Center to get the results from my CT scan (I had it done the Friday before). Luckily, my doctor does not keep people in suspense, so I found out right away that my report was clear! Yay!
I knew that I was feeling fine, but I was a bit tired and worried, and had been worn out from traveling for work. After all it has only been 1 year and 2.5 months since I finished my last round of treatment. However, like I tell other cancer patients there is nothing to do, but keep on going and fight the good fight.
And, on a side note our Young Cancer Survivor Support Group has grown from just Kristen and I to include more than 6 other women. We are still hoping to expand and grow, so if you know of any men or women in the Siouxland area who'd like to come, please let them know our next meeting is Wednesday, March 25 at 5:30 p.m. at the cancer center.
