On our second day of our vacation, we visited Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox.
Then we drove to Walker, Minn. to check out Leech Lake.
We ate lunch at an outside cafe and saw a huge Pelican!
Then we visited Leech Lake Brewing Company.
The owner and his assistant were really friendly.
Then we visited Forestedge Winery.
Their wines are not made with any grapes, but all produce grown on their land--rhubarb, apples, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, black currants.
After a busy day of checking out libations, we decided to go kayaking on Lake Bemidji.
It was a lot of fun except that I did not enjoy Matthew trying to play bumper kayaks to try to tip me over in the lake.
After a busy day of travel, Bows was out for the count.
The next day we visited Itasca State Park.
