A Coffee Date...2

If we were to go on a coffee date.. I would take you to one of my favorite local places: Jitters. We would sit at the small tables in front of the big plate glass windows that look out on Pearl Street, and I would get a Diet Coke and a doughnut.  (Jitters has the same doughnut machine that Sunshine Food Stores had.  My Dad and his friend Frank would take my brother and I to coffee and we each got a 25-cent doughnut.  Good times.)

I would tell you that Matthew and I've had three good things happen recently (I believe good and bad things come in threes).  (Wait for an upcoming blog post.)

I believe in my church and love the new building, but I hope the general fund will rebound soon.  (God has a plan.)

I would probably tell you that three of my good friends are expecting babies this year, one in August (girl), one in September (girl) and one in December (mystery baby).

I would tell you that we had a great vacation to Minnesota in June where Matthew and I went on two 17-mile bike rides!

I would tell you that my second college roommate is hosting a get together at her house in July and I am very excited to go.

I would tell you that my brother, husband and I are hosting a retirement party for my parents at my house.

I would tell you that my Great Aunt from California is going to be in Iowa in one day.  I am SO excited!

I would tell you Bows is doing okay, but she coughs a lot.  Somehow she remains her ornery self.

I would ask how things are going with you, what your summer plans are and when we can get together again.
