On my way to work, I hit gridlock on the interstate then there was a train blocking the entire downtown. After waiting 11 minutes it finally started to move, but it had been stopped longer because people were backed up onto the viaduct.
It was 106 degrees when I left work on Wednesday. Holy hotness!
Matt finished the kitchen remodel! The final trim was put around the window. Now I need to find curtains to hang for a little privacy in the kitchen.
My garden is growing wild. The tomatoes really have blossomed and I have tons of green ones. Hopefully this heat will turn them red.
Bows gets really tired from the heat, but she loves how the hot air feels on her old bones. If we let her, she'd spend hours laying in the sun, rubbing her face in the grass.
I moved my favorite pictures (from my awesome friend Nellie Smith of Photography by Nellie Smith) into the living room. I plan to add more photos on the wall, but I am waiting for Nellie to come help me July 6th!
Other than that we've spent many nights inside in the A.C. I finally went back to the gym this week and plan to renew my membership, because I am not continuiing to run in this heat. (The weather guys are predicting 90's all through July. Ay yi yi!)
