Weekend Update (And meal plan!)

It's MONDAY!!!!!!!!!!! (And, it would have been a great morning to sleep in listening to thunderstorms. Graham was actually still sound asleep at 7 a.m. when I went into get him for breakfast!)

Graham and I got lots of quality time together since Matthew sprayed yards for his side business both Saturday and Sunday.

We went for a walk to see the Morningside Days carnival. Graham thought the monster truck ride was neat. Then we had coffee at Starbucks with Grandma Nancy and Graham stole my caramel ribbon frappacino while ooh and ahhing over the cars in the drive up. And, Jon came over for dinner and some metal detecting then I ran to Dairy Queen with Becca for a fix. (Did you know one of the main ingredients in DQ is seaweed? That means this lactose intolerant girl can eat "ice cream". Yay!)

On Sunday we went to church then Graham and Matthew played at home while I helped David plant our garden. We have onions, potatoes, tomatoes, red cabbage, lettuce, and three kinds of squash. (Thanks Jon for tilling the garden!) David also planted some raspberry bushes along his fence line. After a "healthy" lunch from Hardees, Matthew went to spray more yards and Graham and I had a surprise visit from Grandma Nancy and Miss Lauri then we went to see Great Grandma and Grandpa before Matt's parents came for a late Mother's Day dinner.

And, in a random bit of news I did more meal prep this weekend. I take Graham's naptime on Saturday or Sundays to get a few meals made in advance. Here is our meal plan for this week.

Monday: Chicken, red pepper and onion kabobs on the grill with rice and lettuce salad....and green olives for Graham!
Tuesday: Comfort Meatballs (the Pioneer Woman's recipe and I made these ahead....sooo good!) plus veggies and sweet potato fries
Wednesday: Outdoor picnic...sandwiches, chips and apples eaten outside
Thursday: Leftovers
Friday: Frozen pizza (this is turning into a weekly staple at our house) and fruit salad
Saturday: Grilled hot dogs and hamburgers

Have a great week!
