I love Fridays, because Graham and I (plus Tootsie) get to stay home together. There is no morning rush to get dressed, change a diaper, eat breakfast and get out the door by 7:30 a.m. Instead we can sleep in (if you count 7:15 a.m. as sleeping in! Ha!), take our time eating breakfast and hang out in our pajamas for as long as we like.
However, we are entering the stage of temper tantrums and let me tell you Mr. "I am independent so I will do what I want" reared his little head on Friday. First it started with lots of fits until I got him settled in his highchair with crayons and paper. That went well until he tried to eat his black crayon and I said "no". That did not go over well.
Then I had to pick up Tootsie's food and water bowl, because a little someone put his foot (sock and all) in the water bowl for the 37th time! But, I did not place the food/water bowl up high enough and Graham was able to grab ahold of them and pull everything onto the floor. He hit his eye with one bowl and the other broke into piece on the kitchen floor.
Naptime came early on Friday. Then we ran errands with Uncle David to HyVee and our banks, which helped settle Graham down a bit. Until Matthew came home and he was not allowed to touch the chemicals Matthew was mixing for his yard spraying business. Oooh meltdown! He even melted down when Matthew buckled him in the carseat to go to Pizza Ranch for dinner....because I was tired enough from chasing Mr. Graham that I was not cooking! Thankfully Jon, Alex and Uncle David came to dinner to help distract the little bugger.
Ahhh life with a toddler. Let the games begin...if only he was not already 34 inches tall with arms that are capable of lifting 2- five pound weights! Matthew's big phrase right now is "Good thing he's cute!"
