7 a.m....My alarm goes off and I lay in bed with Tootsie until I hear Graham start to stir at 7:15. It's a Friday so Graham and I are home together! I get up, wash my face and pull my hair up into a ponytail then let the dog out and quickly pick up the kitchen while making G and I some oatmeal. His new favorite oatmeal is rolled oats, almond milk, peanut butter, cinnamon and a tiny pinch of brown sugar. Microwave 1/2 c. for 1.5 minutes then add peanut butter chips and strawberry jam plus blueberries on top. Yum! He always eats his full bowl plus some of mine.
7:30 a.m....Get Graham up and change his diaper. Then we head out to eat breakfast. He chows down while Mr. Sheep sits on the table watching us eat. Ha!
8 a.m....The painter arrives to paint our upstairs! Graham and I show them the paint and where to paint then we head down to play and read books.
9 a.m....Head outside to play with Tootsie. Graham can climb up into his Little Tykes climber now and go down the slide by himself! He also has a huge tantrum and tries to use his super strength to break the fence. No such luck.
9:30 a.m....Head to HyVee for a few groceries. Graham gets a free cookie from the bakery and he's super good. We head home to put away the groceries.
11 a.m....Uncle David arrives and we head to Chick Fil A for lunch. David treats us then I buy he and Graham some ice cream. Graham does not like sharing his ice cream with David. Ha!
12:15 p.m....We all head to Target where I find a great buy on a basket for blankets, a fan, and clippers to trim Graham's hair! David shows off Graham to all his co-workers then Graham falls asleep on the way home.
1 p.m....David goes home and I try to get Graham to take a real nap. No luck so we run around the house. I am hoping to tire him out. The painter is also done painting and it looks so nice upstairs!
2 p.m....My parents stop over to see the paint and Graham. Graham gets rambunctious and falls off the chair hitting his forehead on his zebra riding toy. Nap time is needed!
3 p.m....I put together homemade pizza for dinner while I am hoping Graham is napping. Tootsie barks her head off at the neighbors. How dare they walk past her yard?
4 p.m....I wake up Graham from his very late nap. I think he did not fall asleep until after 2:30 p.m. We never let him sleep past 4 p.m., so he is tired at bedtime. The little guy is crabby and just wants to cuddle. We hang out and wait for Dad to get him.
5 p.m...Dad is home! We play outside while the pizza bakes then eat al fresco on the patio table. So much easier to clean up spills outside! We decide to take a walk after dinner.
7 p.m....Home from our walk and the sky looks really scary. We are getting sick of storms and rain. I take Graham inside for bathtime and Matthew goes to fix our gutters. We need new gutters and roof....hope it lasts one more year.
7:30 p.m....Right when Graham gets out of the tub the rain and hail start! I run outside to make sure Matthew is not on the metal ladder still since I heard thunder. He's try to divert the water from our front flower bed that sometimes leaks into the basement. Run back inside to dry off Graham and get him ready for bed.
8 p.m....Lights out! Graham is having a hard time going to bed so we give him a soft book to read to himself until he falls asleep. I breathe a little sigh that now I can finish the dishes, pick up the house and finally sit down for a few minutes. Matt and I start reading the Total Money Makeover. Good night!
