What a fun, exhausting weekend! This pregnant lady had a great time, but I think it's time to stick around home and get some projects done before Baby #2 arrives in August!
The Book Club ladies of Nancy, Patty, Joyce and I drove down to Lauri's house for a book club vacay. We went to lunch at the Broken Oak Diner in Midtown. It was delicious! Emily and Lauri tried the frozen Jack and Cokes. It was like an adult version of the 711 slushies I grew up with! The rest of us enjoyed our Diet Cokes. Ahh refreshing!
A friend of Patty and Mom's from East High, Jeannette, joined us for lunch. She now lives in Omaha.
Then we did a little shopping. Mom and I found material for her to make curtains for the baby's room that is super cute! Around 5 p.m. Emily and I headed back to her house to meet up with Tom, Matthew and Graham. We had fun meeting the ducks and Lauri joined us for a delicious dinner of lamb burgers and rabbit!
The next morning Emily made us a Pinterest recipe that was a Win! Bacon/egg cups!
Then we hung out for a bit before heading to Lauri's house for a swim and lunch.
Thanks for all the fun times Van Norman ladies and menfolk! To say the three of us were exhausted when we got home is an understatement.
