One of my "sisters" Rachel VanNorman is engaged. Rachel is like the big sister I never had. Our moms have been friends forever and our families are just like family. We always try to get together for big occassions--ie: funerals, weddings, graduations, moving, etc. So my mom and I asked Rach if we could throw her a bridal shower.
Problem was that we never thought I'd be in the midst of moving/unpacking when the shower was. But, we persevered and had the shower last night at my mom's house. We had a large turnout- 20+ ladies and only two duplicate gifts (ice tea maker and comforter). I think Rachel had a good time and it was fun to get to see her and her beautiful ring!
My other two sisters Emily and Katie were able to come and I am so glad they could make it. I will post pictures when we get them uploaded to the computer. My mom made awesome carrot cake, too!
