I have a pretty interesting family dynamic on my Grandpa's side of the family.
Back in the 1950's there were not many jobs to be found in Northwest Iowa.
So my Great Grandpa Sidney, Great Grandma Eleanor,
and my Great Aunt Bev moved to California.
However, my Grandpa (Sid and Eleanor's son) and my Grandma Lois were married.
So they stayed in Sioux City along with my Great Aunt Iona who was in nursing school.
While in California, my Great Aunt Bev married my Great Uncle Chan,
who had two daughters from a previous marraige. Pam and Candy.
Candy got married and they had two sets of twins!
Tara and Becky. Michael and Michelle.
They are great cousins and even though we live miles apart
and are technically only related by marriage,
they are still my cousins and I love em.
And, during this past trip out to Cali,
we got to go to see Tara, Tara's husband Kevin, and Becky.
Tara was pregnant with twin girls at the time.
Well, the girls made their way into the world on Becky and Tara's birthday.
How ironic is that?
Please meet Scarlette and Gracie.
I cannot wait to cuddle them this summer when I plan to visit again!
And, they have an absolutely adorable big sister Ella,
who I am sure will have lots of great advice for the girls.
