If at first you don't succeed, try. Try again!

Last night my friend Rebecca called and said she wanted to go on an adventure. Or at least get out of the house. :-) We decided to drive down to Brown's Lake (www.woodburyparks.com), which is 20 minutes south of Sioux City. The beach looked to nice and inviting....but the sign told us the beach closes at 8 p.m. and it was 7:45 p.m. So we looked at the nice cool water then wandered over to the playground for a bit with plans to go back to the beach tonight. We did find a nice kitty near the beach for Reed and Liam to pet.
We went to Brown's Lake a lot when I was a kid. It's a free beach with a nice sandy area and there used to be lifeguards. Now there are no lifeguards, so we can bring all the floaty toys we want into the water. It should be a good time! I will report back on if we make it to the beach before 8 p.m. :-)
