I was lucky enough to get to Lincoln recently to have a girls lunch at The Venue (OMG! Awesome food and atmosphere!) with Nellie, Natalie and her adorable daughter Trudy!

Trudy is such a great baby. She was so quiet and cute while we ate (and she took a little snooze) then she was all happy and playful afterwards. And, I seriously think old ladies everywhere want to pinch her cheeks. :-)

I ate way tooooo much food, but it was yummy! I had a ham panini and dark chocolate velvet cake with peanut butter filling. Yum-o!
It was really nice to see Nellie and Natalie and catch up.
When I got home Bows and I went to Liam's 3-year-old birthday party, but I forgot to take my camera. He had a Green Lantern themed party and there was lots of fun new toys and gifts. Bows walked almost the entire way there, so on the way back I ended up carrying her and she really crashed when we got home. For a 12-year old Schnauzer she is doing okay, but this summer has been very hard on her old bones. Good thing she has a comfy doggie bed in almost every room in the house! :-)

She slept near the kitchen while I baked cakes for my father-in-law (July 12th birthday) and my dad (July 13th birthday). Good thing we had two zucchini get large enough to bake with from our garden. Happy birthday dad(s)!
