Bright and early on Saturday morning...well at 8:15 a.m., I picked up my mom and we headed down to the Sioux City Farmers' Market.

I think many people wanted to beat the horrible heat and ventured down to the market early. I usually go to the market around 10 or 11 a.m., but going early made me see how much produce they have early in the mornings. I just love looking at the bright colors of peppers, tomatoes and beautiful handmade shawls.

My mom and I worked up quite the appetite, so we split a breakfast burrito with tons of veggies and sausage (no cheese, because of me) and we munched on some homemade biscotti from the Verdigre Bakery. Yum-o!

I bought two green peppers, one red onion, and kale. My mom got a nice cabbag and some pastries. The best part of our Farmers' Market is that it's also on Mondays from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesdays/Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. I stop by often to stock up and just enjoy the market experience.
