A new ride for Bows

Bows is a high maintenance dog. Matthew tells me I made her into a high maintenance dog. You see, before she came to live with us at the ripe old age of 9, she spent her 9 previous years living in Nebraska. Her previous dog mother would keep her in the fenced in front yard during the nice weather months or in the laundry room during the winter. Then her previous dog mother adopted a new dog (a heeler of sorts) and Bows had to go. The new dog was not nice to Bows and so she was going to take Bows to the Humane Society. I had always wanted a dog, so I jumped at the chance to adopt a free (and hypoallergenic!) dog!

And, since I had never had a dog, I just assumed you give the dog what it wants. Bows got a fancy dog bed, nice treats, walks in the a.m. and p.m., and filtered water from the Brita filter. Slowly, but surely, she has turned into a pampered pooch, but I still love having a dog and Bows has a great personality.

And, I like to take her with me, so I just ordered a dog carrier (see pic below) for my bike. (Yes, you can say I am one of those crazy dog ladies.) During the summer I love bike riding, so now I can take Bows with me. Hopefully, she does not gain 5 pounds, because it only holds up to a 15-pound dog.
